i think i met more people and made more new friends in the past three days than i have in the past year; i feel pretty good about that.

it is 57 degrees outside what whattt
a general life update:
1. i am trying to find a new job for the holidays, one that is not as physical as working at the cakery because, seriously, most of the time i am so tired i could cry. also, baking the same thing everyday gets old.
2. i am excited for the video shoot, fright fest, sharks playing on imax and pumpkin carving hollerrrr
3. i really need to meet new people. i know i want to move back out of my parent's house sometime soon but i can't see myself doing it without someone else to move in with. but i don't know anyone well enough to say i would want to live with them and this is the root of my problem. also, i wish i had more girl friends because i want a night with dinner and drinks and shit like that, but i only have like, three best girl friends and they all live far away >:(
4. i want to plan a trip to new orleans because i am dying to go back!
i am in the library right now and there are no cute boys and it is srsly so disappointing.

today i bought a pair of mustard yellow leather gloves with white stitching and i am sad that it isn't cold enough to wear them regularly.

really, why isn't spring here yet? minus the awful weather, life has been phenomenal lately. school has been going well and at the end of this semester, i've finalized the decision to switch into baking and pastry and cannot wait. this friday, amanda, ben, and i are driving down to rolla and after three weeks, i'll finally get to spend some time with ryan. i'm really excited to see him and meet his friends, who have been telling me to get ready to party hard - we'll see. moving into an apartment with amanda might be a definite possibility in the next few months, though i think my mother's resisting a little bit. hopefully it'll all work out for the best. on top of all that, i finally broke through the 140 barrier and now sit at a nice 132 (give or take a few) pounds. only ten more to go!

i am 19 as of today. this weekend was so cute/fun:
++++having dinner with ryan and his mom, hanging out, and ending the night with him asking me to date him
+lunch with ryan, eric, ben, and rob
+laser tag!
+having my best friends with me for my birthday weekend
+continuous workout sessions
+figuring out that baking and pastry is the place for me
2008 has brought me such a great new perspective, i couldn't ask for a better start :):)

this week has been super uneventful. i am restless and uninspired and definitely unsatisfied.
unfinished business from winter break has left me anxious and nervous every time i talk to him.
despite this, life is good. slightly warmer weather, weight loss, and possibly a change of major - i think baking and pastry might be my calling.
so far this year has brought a lot of really nice changes, i hope it keeps up.

HEY. went to see transformers for the second time tonight with eric, ben, jarvis, goodlin, rob, and angela. for sure one of the best movies i've seen lately. um, this weekend has been really great. friday, cut most of my hair off and then hung out with ethan and amanda at the mall/best buy. later we all went to the city museum and made sweet craft projects and ran around for a bit. ate at las fuentes with amanda, rob, and eric on saturday then met up with ian and joe for snow cones. on tuesday, ethan, ashley, amanda, stephanie, lauren, and i went to fair st. louis to see the goo goo dolls/~supa foine~ johnny rzeznik. the summer weather's not as bad as i thought it would be, but i still wish it was autumn! things to do by then: get a few good pairs of jeans, cut my hair shorter, work on my people skillz.
p.s - chicago roadtrip in october to see the white stripes with ben and eric. excited? YEAH :D
